Race For Education
What is the Race for Education?
Welcome to our FIRST Race for Education. This event is instrumental in providing a quality education for children at Immaculate Heart Central. Race for Education funds are used to support IHC’s annual fund
What does this event entail?
Students will walk or jog around the soccer field (at IHC High School) as many times as possible in 50 minutes. Each student will raise funds by asking sponsors to contribute to their race effort through a tax-deductible donation to Immaculate Heart Central School.
What is our goal?
Our goal is to raise $30,000.
What do these funds go toward?
The proceeds raised help our school provide quality and essential curriculum materials for our school, along with helping offset tuition costs to keep Catholic Education in reach for all families. This year’s funds will focus on facility improvements.
How to get started?
For IHC Families, you can help us reach this goal by spending a small amount of time filling out a label sheet with names and addresses of potential sponsors. We can reach our goal if we receive an average of 15 name labels per student. Your label sheet will be sent home with the youngest child in your family.
Who is participating?
Our Race for Education 2025 is a PreK - 12th Grade run on Friday, May 30th, so please return your filled in address label sheets no later than Tuesday, March. 11th.
Can I come and watch?
Absolutely! Families are invited to support their runners on Race Day at Immaculate Heart Central High School. Bring a lawn chair, or hangout in the bleachers and cheer them on! We love to see the excitement build as the students see their class progress and look forward to race day with their friends. With your help, we hope to pull off a successful event!

JK Mini Race 8:30 - 8:50 AM
Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade 9:00 - 9:50 AM
3rd, 4th and 5th Grade 10:00 - 10:50 AM
6th, 7th and 8th Grade 11:00 - 11:50 AM
9th, 10th, 11th and 12th Grade 12:00 - 12:50 PM
